Eric Pierson, Founder and Principal Consultant Eric Pierson has a passion for healthcare data analysis and feels very strongly that decision support tools should produce measurable value for a business. He has spent over 17 years working within healthcare organizations, and has developed particular expertise in decision support systems and health plan business. He has worked with a wide variety of large to small health plans across the country, including the recognized names of UnitedHealthcare, Coventry, Mutual of Omaha, Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans, Amerigroup and the State of New York’s Medicaid system. He has also worked in the FDA-regulated medical device industry, assisting Guidant Corporation’s Cardiac Rhythm Management division (now part of Boston Scientific) to advance their ability to drive clinical and technical insight from data stored within their implanted devices.
